KSD/WARMOTH/NORDSTRAND/AUDERE/FENDER Lefty 5 String Jazz Bass

Thanks for looking at my auction. I have spent some time and great effort putting together a lefty 5 string jazz bass with tons of vintage tone but still modern. All of the parts are new to excellent condition and this bass plays amazingly well and has a ton of thick fat jazz tone heaven with plenty of versatility from the Nordstrand pickups and Audere preamp with Z mode.

This bass has no issues it plays fantastic with low action and the Warmoth neck is straight and solid. So the rundown of parts…. The body is alder and is a Ken Smith Design piece with Ken Smith Design tuners and pickgaurd. The neck is a Warmoth maple and rosewood fingerboard. The pickups are the Nordstrand Big Singles and the preamp is a 9 volt Audere master volume, balance, high mid treble, low mid bass, and Z Mode. The bridge is a high mass newer design true Fender. This bass was modded to accommodate the bigger aftermarket pickups but done well and modded for the much improved Fender bridge. The neck from Warmoth is slightly narrower than the original Ken Smith Design neck so there are professionally installed shims on the sides of the neck pocket but is done extremely well and as you can see the bass looks amazing and plays and sounds even better. This bass is super well-constructed with high end preamp and pickups and looks as good and plays as well as many high end jazz basses costing way more. There are some swirl micro scratches and a few small pen tip size dings but all in all it looks great and is in great condition. Yes the headstock decal say Fender and is put on backwards from the original owner of the body and neck as funny artsy thing since it’s a lefty instrument.

I am just raising money for another project otherwise I would keep it. I always wanted a great 5 string lefty jazz bass with excellent electronics that played great. This is it. Bass comes with brand new nickel Dunlop strings and I will include an almost brand new (few scuffs nothing major) Gator case with buy it now option only otherwise a bid or auction it will be packed extremely well but it will be the bass alone no bag or case. The case was over $100 itself. I have more invested in parts than what I’m asking and this bass is solid and well put together. If you have wanting a 5 string jazz and you are a lefty and didn’t want to spend a ton of dough but wanted high end parts this is it.
