FENDER PRECISION BASS 1964 NECK CLEAN
This 1971 Fender Jazz bass is used but in good condition. There are surface scratches and a couple of minor dings as can be seen in the pictures above. There are no cracks or major dings.
I bought the bass 20 years ago at a vintage guitar store and I have not played it much since then. It appears that all the parts are original including the case. The serial number on the 4-bolt neck plate is 323714. There is no writing or stamp on the neck butt. The neck is thin measuring 1 3/8 inches at the nut (standard is 1 1/2 inches). It weighs 9 1/2 lbs on my bathroom scales. It plays great with a very low action. The maple fret board with the black, block inlays is a real eye catcher. This became standard in 1971. Fender switched to pearloid fingerboard inlays in mid to late 1974. I hate to part with this bass but I just don't play it much anymore since I am not in a band.
